A brief update on the world.
Bad blogger. Bad little blogger who is soon to have an MA.
Yes, my dissertation is done. Hooray! There was great consternation over choosing a title, but I finally settled on "Dodging the Bullet: Alternatives to Death in Science Fiction and Fantasy" (which was one of Jon's suggestions, so kudos to him!).
I'm back at work, slaving away, and starting to get back into the regular routine of work, eat, sleep, Scrabble, movies and walks around the lake that comprise Vancouver life. I played in the Portland Scrabble tournament, where I got to spend many hours of Scrabbling goodness - 20 games in two and a half days, to be precise. While I did not conquer the Word-Nerding World, I did manage to bring up my rating with the National Scrabble Association, and that brought me great joy.
(yawn) Bed beckons...I bid you all oyasuminasai (which is Japanese and doesn't really translate... it involves working hard and being tired from useful activity).
